The same day he publicly apologized to his wife Sandra Bullock for using "poor judgment," Jesse James went for a ride on his motorcycle in Long Beach on Thursday.
At least this time he used good judgment ... and wore protection.

Britney Spears is gonna drive her conservatorship crazy because she really wants to buy a Maserati.
For the second time in less than a month, the mother of two checked out the $150K Italian sports car on Monday.
But sources tell us there's no chance in hell her father -- or the judge -- will let the conservatorship wonder buy the car.

Britney Spears has to be the only person on the planet who test drives a Maserati by sitting in the passenger seat while someone else gets to have all the fun.
Britney and her bodyguard visited the Maserati dealership earlier today in Calabasas, CA -- where she was spotted riding shotgun in the car, which is worth well over $100,000.
Britney is such a driven person.
BTW: Britney is on a $500 a week allowance and can't buy the car without a judge's approval ... and we're pretty sure that's not how the judge rolls.

Charlie Sheen's car that went over a cliff this morning on Mulholland Drive was ready to drive ... because law enforcement tells us the key was in the ignition and the garage door at his home was open. 
Charlie lives in a gated community where other residents sometimes leave their garage door open as well.
Our law enforcement sources say when they arrived at Charlie's home he looked fine and told cops he had no idea who heisted his ride.
Cops say other cars in the gated community were burglarized.

Charlie Sheen got one hell of a wake up call this morning when an operator from an OnStar-like service called to inform him that his SUV had crashed.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sheen got the call around 4AM when his remote diagnostics company received an alert that the car had been involved in a wreck and the airbags had deployed.
We're told Sheen alerted his security team who inspected the home and confirmed that the car had been stolen.
Cops later found the wrecked SUV 100 feet down Mulholland Drive.
We're told the L.A. Fire Department used an infrared scanner to search for any victims, but the search came up empty.
Cops are still hunting for a suspect.

Charlie Sheen reported his SUV was stolen this morning, and hours later it was found on its side at the bottom of an L.A. cliff near famous Mulholland Drive.
Law enforcement tells TMZ Sheen reported the truck stolen from his house early this AM. We do not know if Sheen knew the suspect.
Cops tell us the fire department is on scene, looking to see if there's a body near the wreckage.
The suspect is not in custody.
Police are investigating.

Vanessa Hudgens endured a small personal tragedy earlier today -- she severely scratched up the front of her very expensive automobile. 
It's unclear how the damage to the front passenger side of her new Audi occurred -- but the "High School Musical" star was seen waiting in a West Hollywood supermarket parking lot while a AAA employee helped her get back on the road. 
Fortunately, she can probably afford the repair bill.
UPDATE: Vanessa's rep tells TMZ she only suffered a flat tire and was not involved in any sort of collision.
As for how the scratches occurred -- the rep says it's a mystery to him.

Renee Zellweger got nailed today in Pacific Palisades.
For some reason Renee was visiting Bradley Cooper's new house sometime before 9 AM. Bradley hasn't even moved in yet and he was nowhere in sight.
Renee parked her Prius on the street and got out. When she eventually returned to the car at 9, she opened the driver's door to get in, when an elderly woman in a BMW almost took Renee and the door out.
Renee was unscathed but her door got nailed.
Fifteen minutes later Bradley showed up and Renee hitched a ride.

Shanna Moakler and Stephanie Pratt were involved in a $100,000 mix up last night -- when they somehow got into the wrong cars at an L.A. valet stand and unknowingly drove off with each other's rides. 
The two reality stars, who have the same white BMW SUV, were given each other's vehicles at the valet at Voyeur nightclub -- but neither woman noticed the screw up until they were miles from the club.
You'd think Pratt (left) would have noticed the baby seat in the back -- oh wait, no you wouldn't.
The two solved the motor mix-up over Twitter and plan on meeting up to trade cars.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was involved in a two-car accident this week -- involving another one of his ridiculously awesome vehicles. 
TMZ has learned Rampage was driving a new black Audi R8 -- valued at more than $100k -- home from the Audi dealership in Orange County, California on Tuesday when he was hit by a woman driving a very not expensive black car.
We're told Rampage was not injured in the wreck, but the back end of his badass ride suffered some pretty extensive -- and expensive -- damage. 
Rampage tells TMZ police arrived on scene and cleared him of all wrongdoing. The UFC fighter added, "I am thankful and happy no one was hurt. I tried to make sure the elderly woman that hit my car was OK ... she didn't speak much English, but I could see she wasn't hurt in any way."
As for his own condition, Rampage said, "I am fine, the little old lady is fine, but my car got hurt, and for that I'm sad."

Character actor Ed Lauter wanted to drive home from a Golden Globes party over the weekend -- but security thought the slurring star had one too many drinks to get behind the wheel and stopped him cold.
Lauter was getting into his car outside Chateau Marmont when security intervened and told the guy to take a cab instead ... a suggestion he was none too happy with.
Though Ed kept saying he was "fine" and even dropped coach Larry Brown's name in an attempt to win points with the guard, he eventually relented -- and got a taxi.
Attempts to reach Ed for comment were unsuccessful.
