Lawsuit Says "Judge Judy" Sends Blacks Packin'

An ex-producer for "Judge Judy" is claiming that he was canned for complaining that black litigants were being 86'd from the show.
Judge Judy
The lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court by former Senior Producer Jonathan Sebastien, alleges that Randy Douthit -- a supervisor -- told staffers, "We're not doing any more black shows," and "I don't want to hear black people arguing."

Sebastien claims when he complained about the alleged whitewashing, he says Douthit commanded his fellow producers to book "white upscale, pretty people" for Judge Judy, and to send black litigants to the "Judge Joe Brown" show. Brown's show is produced by the same company as "Judy."

Sebastien claims after he objected to the policy, his boss "berated and mocked him," and fired him on March 30. He is seeking unspecified damages from the show and CBS Paramount.

Judge Judy Sheindlin herself isn't named as a defendant. A rep for CBS Paramount tells TMZ, "CBS Paramount does not comment on pending litigation." A staffer from "Judge Judy" -- who did not want to be identified -- says the suit has "no merit" and that the claims are being being made by "a disgruntled former employee who was fired for cause."

1. Someone should tell Judge Judy that "white, pretty, people" don't get ratings. Hasn't anyone been paying attention to Jerry Springer? Geez!

5. The Producer isn't doing his job then. I've never seen "pretty people" on any of these silly shows. Who would want to take her screechy abuse any way?

8. Send them to their respective shows. Neither whites nor blacks want to spend the whole half hour trying to figure out what the h*ll the litigants are actually saying to one another. Sometimes it sounds as though they both speak a different language. Just axe anyone, lol. I like Judy, but I also really like Judge Joe. Just kidding on the whole post.

Judge Judy has already proven herself to be fair. If this even happened, it would be the show's executive determining policy.

9. Disgruntled-does this mean angry because Blacks are being ostracized for a stupid reason?? I guess he's disgruntled, then! Viewers want to see REAL STUFF on the court shows; for Pretty People we count on Harvey and Perez to keep us supplied.

12. The sad thing about this ordeal is that it is Judy's photo that will appear in the tabloids.

Sending a subliminal message out.

Any producer should know better than to be that blatant (if this is true)

Also, DOES ANYONE ASSUME THAT BLACKS & OTHER MINORITIES CAN'T BE PRETTY AND UPSCALE???

Maybe he's never been around professional models or grad students

13. So what if she wanted a certain 'LOOK' for her show. The Cosby show was based on a 'LooK', 90210, Everybody hates Chris, Everybody Loves Raymond. There are Black shows and there are White shows. Until you make that against the law, she did nothing wrong. I'm not sure we want to make laws like that anyway.

14. poor producer Randy Douthit who is being sued. He probably made that comment of 'no more black people' after he saw and was forced to produce this case http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le8C4N_k7a8 . I'm black myself and would have actually said the same thing if I had seen that case and was forced to produce. If I were the judge in this case and that comment was said a couple days after this case was shown, or he ll even a year or 25 years after this case was shown, I would not only throw out the lawsuit but show Douhthit another black person immediately to show him that's only those two black people and not the whole black race. I'd have an issue if it was said before this case tho.
