16-Year-Old Jamie Lynn Spears Is Pregnant

Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, has confirmed to OK! Magazine that she is pregnant. Oh. My. God.

A source tells us the interview, which hits stands tomorrow, is six pages and is on the record with Jamie Lynn and her mother. She tells the mag that the father is Casey Aldridge, who she has been dating for some time and first met at church. Brit's younger sister, star of Nick's "Zoey 101," says she's keeping the baby.

Sources tell us that she has not yet told her older sister. Well, she knows now.

UPDATE: Nickelodeon issued the following statement this afternoon: "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."

2052. I'm glad to see everyone is so supportive of Jamie Lynn, such encouraging words for the young mother to be. I was pregnant at 16, people make bad choices, you have to learn from it and make the best of it. I graduated high school with honors and a 2 year old! I'm not from a "privledged" family nor am I trailor trash, if I can do it so can she, don't get me wrong, it's no walk in the park hard work & dedication are a must, but would it kill someone to say hey, it will be ok, you can do this Jamie Lynn. Ohh, wait, nobody told me that either! I have a great career with great benefits & pay, new car, my own home, and a motorcycle, so you can imagine the things my daughter has... You can do this Jamie Lynn, just think about your choices as you make them for you & your family!

Teenage girls get pregnant every day. At least she is taking responsiblity for it. It always amazes me how people are so quick to judge people , even if you don't them.
What if it was your sister? Your friend?
As for Britt and all these famous people...a big part of the problem is the press...who can manipulate the public to love or hate someone depending on which way the wind blows.
Part of the problem is people just like YOU...the ones who choose to throw out hateful, slandering comments...just because you can. No compasion..no empathy.
Pretty sad world we live in. Jamie being a very small part of the problem....the media and general public being a very large part of it.
Worry more about your own life and all the crap you have done wrong...and let Jamie worry about what is or isn't going on her life.
