Wherefore Art Lil' Romeo? On a Hoop Scholarship at USC!

Rapper Lil' Romeo, whose real name is Romeo Miller, has received a full ride scholarship to play basketball for USC. Rapper turned hooper!
Romeo, 18, will be graduating from Beverly Hills High School as an honor student this spring and will attend USC in the fall. He will sign his letter of intent today at a press conference at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills.

Lil' Romeo has basketball in his blood -- his dad is rapper Master P, who signed with two NBA teams in the late '90s, but was released both times during pre-season. Unnggh! Na Na Na Na!

64. lol wowwww he is not an honors student...A. he doesn't show up to school and B. Hotel Management and Sports Marketing aren't honors classes and C. he's not the best player on our team look up Julian Wheeler..

66. that's good for him, but couldn't he turn down the scholarship so that someone who can't afford to go to school could have the chance? I just don't think it's fair that he would take that money that is meant to be used to for people who really need it.

68. very very old news TMZ. i heard at least six months ago that Romeo was going to USC. I think Illseed at AllHipHop.com posted it when he first verbally committed. Maybe you guys should hire a couple of black people to get that news straight instead of indescriminately labeling every black guy a "rapper" and posting stories half a year after they happen!0

70. Ummm, I like Romeo but a basketball scholarship does not mean that he is in the NBA people. Also, the article does not mention anything about Romeo being an HONOR student - who cares about basketball scholarship - it's the smarts that matter not how to dribble a basketball....What does he intend to study - TMZ, where is your reporting? I find it hard to take anyone seriously that wears a sideways baseball caps, fake gold teeth, and silly made up names...
