Meltdowns
Dog Dissed by Chris Just a Few Months Back

In a conversation with TMZ, Christopher Hecht vigorously defended his dad, Duane "Dog" Chapman, against charges of racism. But just a few months ago, Chris was barking about the Dog, and it wasn't too kind.

Hecht called in to the Lewis and Floorwax show on Denver's 103.5 FM The Fox back in June, and made some serious allegations about Dog, mainly relating to drug use. "He knows I know the secrets," said Chris. "I'll put him in check."

But today, in his exclusive sit-down with TMZ, Hecht was singing a different tune, telling us that his father "is not this monster that people think" and explaining what happened between Dog and his younger brother. What's more, Chris, who served prison time, admitted that he had been previously paid by the National Enquirer interview.

46. I saw him on FOX tonight too...but...when he saw Tucker's girlfriend for the first time, Dog stated he'd never met her before and she was 'cute', or words to that effect, so how can he be so judgmental about her character if that's the case when he is so emotional and remorseful about being judged himself?

This just doesn't jibe...and, he said he use of that word was always in a positive, intimate way with his 'brothers' even though he's from a different 'mother'...his rant about this lady didn't sound in the same spirit - at all.

I do respect him for what he said about not being concerned about the status of his show, and seemed sincere, or I'm giving him too much wiggle room.

Karma is a powerful thing, and sometimes you just have to take what comes around with dignity and grace rather than scramble for public redemption; wish he would just go on the down-low for awhile now, as opposed to most celebs/politicians who get caught in the act of stupid.

48. "Let he who has not said anything out of line in private, cast the first stone!" Exactly, my2cents. If everyone's private conversations were made public for the masses to judge, I'm sure there would be a lot of skeletons rattling around. And some very angry hypocrites of all colors and races.

In fact, maybe TMZ should run a new option on their site where anyone can share their private conversations for the net. I doubt anyone would use it except as a joke. But imagine if some of your so-called trusted family or friends decided to share some of your phone conversations, along with your full name, with TMZ, how entertaining...and enlightening that would be. ;-) Followed by that, TMZ could also start a section called: "Family Feud; Web style." The reaction by some TMZ users, when they enter the site and hear their private phone conversations with their family suddenly on TMZ, would be priceless. LOL And if TMZ wanted to knock it up a few notches, they could allow webcam interactions --- so the net can see who you are and what your reaction would be. And if you think the use of the N word is causing such an uproar, wait till you hear what most people are actually saying while in private phone conversations.

And if television and film writers weren't on strike right now, damn, think of the blast they could have pulling material from those conversations!!

49. #47 good points. The part though about when dog saw his son's girlfriend, said she was "cute' or something--my thought on that is this--in his private phone conversation with his son that was taped, dog was very angry, said what we all know by now that he said, dog had not met the girlfriend but was angry and worried about his own wife being harmed in some way. The phone call took place months ago, in March, a long time. I think most people are not aware that the phone conversation took place that long ago. And if father and son were still not on good terms, that explains why dog never met Tucker's girlfriend. Dog, in my opinion, is still in shock and shame that this phone conversation has been ALL OVER THE NEWS. I think he handled himself well, Dog cries sometimes when emotional, which shows, me anyway, that grown men can cry while being in an awkward and embarrassing situation, while being asked personal questions on a tv news program, while having your personal and family truths being held up for all to see and hear. The only man I have ever known who was not embarrassed for someone to see him shed a tear was my grandfather, and I am 64, cannot remember any other man who didn't mind having that emotion seen by others.

50. Iris: You're right about how elaborated about what he believed to be a threat to his wife; true or not, my bad.

But, I didn't buy into his explanation (at all) that he didn't realize until this happened that the "N" word is mostly unacceptable - he's an ex-con, street smart, and dumb as a fox.

My kids have been watching him for years and I slowly became a fan too - they're pissed; but they're also old enough to know one of life's disappointments is when you find out someone isn't who you thought they were.

Forgive him? Sure, not that I carry that much importance in the universe with my forgiveness, but forget? Uh uh; there are lines you just don't cross.

51. Toni --- they sure do. And they'll love his money even more when they can't rely on it anymore......esp. Tucker. 15,000 will only last so long.

52. Dang Dog, I was mad at u, but after seeing you on H &C I forgive u.
To say that u will be buried with slaves to gain forgiveness is honorable.

53. I watched Dog on Hannity & Colmes on the FOX News channel and I believe that he is sincere when he is asking for forgiveness. It was the right and honorable thing for him to do and I hope that he continues to be strong through this ordeal. I wish Dog and Beth the best!!!

55. HEY, CHRIS!

YOU ARE AN UNGRATEFUL , DISLOYAL SWINE OF AN ANIMAL!
YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN ABORTION, FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF HE WAS SOOOO BAD, WHY DID YOU TAKE HIS MONEY SO EASILY??
THEN WHEN YOU CAN'T HAVE YOUR WAY, YOU PUT YOUR OWN FLESH AND BLOOD THROUGH THE MUD FOR THE SAKE OF A GIRLFRIEND?!
LET'S SEE WHERE YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS IN 10 YEARS!!!!

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR FATHER TURN HIS BACK ON YOU WHEN YOU TRY TO ASK HIM FOR FORGIVENESS BECAUSE YOUR GIRLFRIEND ONLY WANTED THE PUBLICITY SHE COULD GET FROM YOUR DAD--THROUGH YOU.

YOU ARE ILLITERATE, FUGLY AND DO YOU HONESTLY THINK SHE WOULD HAVE ANY INTEREST IN YOU IF YOU WERE NOT DOG'S SON?!
IF YOU DO, THEN THERE IS A WORD FOR YOU: DELUSIONAL!!! OR MAYBE YOU DIDN'T NOTICE THE MIRROR CRACKING WHEN YOU LOOKED INTO IT.

57. I watched the Dog interview on Hannity last night. No way anyone can walk away believing that man to be racist.

And he's right, the Enquier has bought some of his children. Let this be a warning to all celebrities out there.

58. My My all the comments.. Well you should know this family personally. First off Chris was adopted by a family that spoiled him rotten. Chris met dog when he was 20 years old and in trouble. Dog bonded him out of jail what a joke. Dog made his adoptive mother pay the bond fees and put her house up as collteral. Got pissed when she pulled the bond cause chris was hanging out with dog and getting into more trouble. Dog and Beth have threatened this lady numerous times. Dog is promising chris things to make him say these things. What about dog told the enquirer that chris was his alledged son. HMMMMMMMMMMMM is he or is he not. Take the DNA challenge.
what about the pictures of chris and dog dressed in kkk?

59. Right or wrong, my question is? What happen to FREEDOM OF SPEECH?

Posted at 9:30PM on Nov 14th 2007 by Dick Mudd

60. Unfortunately, i didn't see the H@C interview, but, here's what i find so striking. Why is his son's girlfriend the target. Dog was probably looking in the girls best interest when he told his son not to bring her around because they ''say things'' at the office, but Dog is not in penal system nor is he a street tough, he's a business man who should have had a litte bit more sense not to use words that could jeopardize his wellbeing. And as for as the WORD goes, somebody please tell what year did they come up with a new meaning for the WORD. I'm 31 years old and the word has always been synonymous with the same thing, A lot of people would argue that because ''some'' black people use the word, then, what's the big deal! I don't think if a white man said '' you stupid n----r'', it would carry the same weight as, say, a white man said '' oh, what' s up my n----r '', but what i heard dog saying was pure anger. I hope dog and his son work things out because we are living in the '' get rich quick '' age and no ruined father/son relationship has price.
